Call for Compositions |
Electroacoustic compositionsElectroacoustic works are invited for recorded media to be performed on up to twelve speakers, including stereo works for diffusion, multi-channel works, and works that include visuals. All audio work should be submitted on DAT or Audio CD; multi-channel works on Data CD (aif or wav files) or ADAT HD-24 (removable drive); audio-visual work on DVD. Works should be no more than 10 minutes in duration, recorded at 44.1Khz, and should be accompanied by a programme note of up to 100 words. |
Ensemble compositionsScores are invited for the following ensemble:
Works should last 3-5 minutes. In the first instance, please send one neatly handwritten or computer printed score (no parts required). A programme note (of not more than 100 words) should also be included. Selected compositions will be performed by FOCAM and discussed in a workshop. Percussion parts can be written for standard orchestral percussion instruments and/or African drums. For any unusual requirements, contact Dr Mic Spencer.

Solo compositionsScores are invited for solo tuba. Works should last 3-5 minutes. Scores should be neatly handwritten or computer printed, and a programme note (of not more than 100 words) should also be included. Selected compositions will be performed by internationally-renowned tuba player Professor James Gourlay MMus, FLCM, FRNCM, Head of the School of Wind and Percussion, Royal Northern College of Music.
